Position Summary
The SAP Functional Lead (FI/CO) is responsible for the support, development, and enhancement of the Sonaca North America SAP modules, including reporting. The position requires detailed knowledge and support for all SAP Finance and Controlling areas for implementation of ERP for manufacturing operations. Focus on the integration between Finance, Sales/Distribution and Production. Significant experience in Finance and Costing is required to provide guidance and insights to project team members and the business. In addition to the project-based initiatives this position will also be responsible for the day-to-day production support tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements.
- Participate in a global project responsible for all aspects of the SAP System Development Life Cycle from the conceptual phase through implementation.
- Be part of a team supporting post-implementation and ensuring global SLAs are met.
- Serve as the interface between the development team and business process owners for the FI (Financial) and CO (Controlling) modules of SAP.
- Provide on-going training to end users of SAP FI/CO functionality and reporting tools.
- Interfaces with other functional specialists to ensure solution design and integrity.
- Focus on the deployment of a Global Template for Finances.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system improvements.
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees, and vendors.
- Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or Information Technology from an accredited college or university required.
- Ability to achieve results in a timely manner.
- Experience supporting multiple modules FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, and PM.
- Broad understanding of SAP configuration including but not limited to Product Costing, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Accounts Receivable, FSCM Credit / Collections / Disputes Management, Accounts Payable, General Ledger Accounting, and common business taxes, preferably across several regions globally.
- Experience supporting BOBJ, PI, FIORI applications is preferred.
- Strong experience with FIORI applications in the FICO area.
- Solid understanding of functional integration points, entity relationships and module flows.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail and task follow-up skills.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge in developing functional specifications.
- Good understanding of data flow and integration across SAP modules.
- Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
Physical/Work Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods, working at a desk and/or attending meetings.
- Use various computer and office equipment as well as be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area to talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.
- Noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud.
- Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the plant floor.
