Risk Management Consultant - Nassau County (Hybrid)
Senior Risk Consultant - Nassau County, NY $150,000 to $175,000
Respected Risk Management / insurance consultant firm seeks a Senior Risk Consultant will be dedicated to identifying, managing and reducing property and casualty risk for their clients which includes major real estate owners and developers, general contractors. quasi-public entities, universities, commercial lenders and others. Duties are highly analytical and a considerable time will be focused on risk assessments and contract review
The position does not involve selling insurance; requires limited travel; flexible hours and an environment fostering professional and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Recommending the most effective ways to control, reduce or transfer risk.
- Performing contract reviews and remediation from a risk management perspective, emphasizing risk transfer to counterparties, with specific focus on insurance and indemnity clauses.
- Overseeing property and casualty renewal programs, scrutinizing the most efficient ways to produce premium savings, while offering outstanding coverage provisions.
- Developing risk reduction approaches, and assist and manage the claims process, provide oversight and participate in client claims reviews.
- professional who is a solution focused team player capable of advising and supporting o will be responsible for growing and managing our Leveraged Finance practice on behalf of blue chip lenders and investment banks. We work with clients during the lifecycle of an investment advising on risk and insurance matters and solutions at the acquisition and for the wider portfolio.
- Educate clients and borrowers in risk management, transfer, market issues and trends
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years construction and real-estate contract and insurance experience
- Minimum of 7 years insurance commercial property and Casualty insurance experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty insurance policy clauses, as well as management liability coverage.
- Working knowledge of construction risks and experience with safety, loss prevention and claims analysis, as well as discernment in critiquing insurance policies, particularly coverage terms, conditions and exclusions
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- High level organization and process consistency
- Bachelors degree or higher, preferably with area of study in Business, Finance, or Risk Management. CRM, ARM or CPCU designation is beneficial.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe)
