The Product Marketing & Innovation Manager will be responsible for driving the product development process across several product categories, from concept to production. eos has been expanding into new body care categories, through multiple new product launches that rapidly became top-sellers & consumer cult-favorites, like our category top-selling Vanilla Cashmere body lotion or Tiktok-viral shave cream. Responsibilities:
Co-create 3 year plan for Innovation pipeline
- Help to evolve the brand ambition, positioning, and portfolio strategy
- Monitor and assess competitive landscape and consumer trends to inform strategic interventions
- Assess category performance over time and make recommendations for continued optimization
- Develop innovative, creative, and breakthrough product concept & positioning that delivers growth for the brand
- Own the product-level P&Ls to ensure growth is sustainable & profitable
- Lead the entire product development process, from concept & briefing to first production, while partnering with cross-functional, product development teams
- Lead briefing & evaluation of formula/fragrances, packaging & design aspects of the launch
- Manage development, routing and approval of mechanical artwork within timing guidelines
- Anticipate obstacles, effectively elevate issues and strategize solutions to complex problems that may arise during development to ensure the project is delivered on-time to specifications
- Create strategic product toolkits for company stakeholders to support product launches
- Assess & evaluate product launch success to inform future opportunities
- Coordinate, organize and evaluate proprietary & competitive product formula and fragrance submissions(aesthetics, delivery system, price, performance, claims and benefits)
Consumer Insights & Trends
- Be consumer-obsessed & leverage research to understand attitudes & usage across multiple demos & categories, and identify opportunities for new product ideas/positioning/etc.
- Lead industry & category specific trend-hunting to stay abrest of relevant opportunities across product, design and implementation
- Conduct consumer research (quantitative, qualitative) to inform decisions on multiple steps of the product development
Experience, Education, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in brand development or product management (experience in beauty category/CPG preferred)
- Positive, pro-active, can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to thoughtfully prioritize tasks while maintaining uncompromising quality to drive results
- Creative problem-solver who demonstrates curiosity and strives for constant improvement
- Passion for, and understanding of, consumer behavior and market trends
- Strong written and verbal communication & presentation skills
- Team player with the ability to build positive and productive working relationships with many stakeholders
- High level of independence and resourcefulness
