POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will work closely with the leadership team to ensure smooth execution of organizational priorities, streamline operations, and foster alignment across cross-functional teams, including engineering, development, and product functions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and inter-departmental collaboration. Must also have excellent analytical, critical reasoning, interpersonal, communication, influencing and leadership skills. Success depends on building rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders across the organization. This is a pivotal role for shaping and executing the strategic vision, enabling senior leaders to focus on high-impact business decisions while you handle day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through to successful execution under the guidance of executive leadership. Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management and initiative implementation.
- Develop and manage dashboards and analytics to monitor team performance indicators. Develop and maintain an operating model, including objectives and key results (OKRs) and critical metrics and communicate consolidated health/status report across teams and initiatives.
- Create concise and visually compelling presentations for operational reviews, industry events, speaking presentations and strategic initiatives. Collaborate on content development and preparation for key forums.
- Attend meetings, publish post-meeting notes documenting key decisions and action items in a timely manner, track next steps and follow-ups to completion. Develop and own timelines and action plans to mitigate potential risks and escalations to key stakeholders when needed.
- Champion people initiatives in partnership with HR - oversee the planning process from an operational and staffing perspective. Assist leaders with annual planning process, talent management, headcount allocation, and portfolio management.
- Partner with finance on technology budget management and forecasting. Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of budget submissions.
- Organize key organizational meetings as well as prepare executive agendas and meeting materials for key organizational meetings including DR’s, All hands, Town Halls, Operational Leadership meetings, as well as other ad-hoc strategy discussions.
- Ensure smooth operations across all teams, identifying and resolving bottlenecks that may affect delivery and performance. Develop and optimize business processes to enhance productivity and communication across departments. Lead the planning, development, and implementation of operational processes to increase organizational efficiency.
- Serve as the key advisor to the senior leadership team, providing insight, recommendations, and solutions on both strategic and operational matters. Act as a liaison between leadership and various teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely decision-making. Manage internal communications, helping to convey leadership priorities, goals, and initiatives to all levels of the organization.
- Oversee the execution of key projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Monitor project milestones and intervene as needed to address risks, reallocate resources, or remove roadblocks. Ensure that projects are aligned with strategic priorities and contribute to overall business objectives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to track progress and inform decision-making. Use data and analysis to identify areas of improvement, and support leadership in making informed, strategic decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in a strategy, operations, or chief of staff role, preferably within a technology or software engineering environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-functional teams, with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence decisions through data.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with experience managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in driving process improvements and operational excellence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in large-scale technology or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with modern software development processes, including agile and DevOps.
- Demonstrated success in supporting and enabling senior leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $75,400.00 - $199,144.80. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
