Summary:
The Director Bridgeport Outpatient Program is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all aspects of the Bridgeport Adult Outpatient Program. Reporting to the Director of Outpatient & Adolescent Programs, he/she shall provide clinical and administrative oversight to the program and ensure the quality of services delivered to both clients and referral agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate activities of all clinic staff members to maximize the quality of services delivered and to meet the needs of clients and referral/funding sources.
- Recruit, train and manage all employees, provide Clinical Supervision (including co-signature of client clinical documentation) as required, and complete all required Performance Appraisals.
- Manage a caseload of up to10 clients and assist as needed with evaluations, treatment plans, and group facilitations.
- Ensure that the Bridgeport Outpatient Program delivers services in line with contractual requirements, including the documentation of activities using funder communications/reporting systems.
- Assist in maintaining DPH and DCF licensing and CARF accreditation.
- Ensure that staff members maintain their required licensing and certification status and complete all mandated training and development activities.
- Track and report weekly clinic activity and report results to senior management and funding sources.
- Maintain contacts with external referral sources, including CSSD, Federal Probation, DCF and Community Programs, and attend Federal Support Court, Regional Risk Reduction and DCF meetings.
- Coordinate closely with CSSD’s Program Monitor, review the status of entries into the CDCS system on a weekly basis and attend all required CSSD coordination and program audit meetings.
- Ensure that monthly summary and court reports completed by clinical staff within required timeframes.
- Conduct staff clinical trainings agency-wide as required.
- Participate in internal and external committees and work groups as assigned.
- Work with the Director of Outpatient and Adolescent Programs and the Director of Quality Improvement to design, monitor and participate in client chart audits to ensure adherence to all internal and external policies and requirements.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and grant applications for new or renewed program services.
- Review the clinic’s budgets and financial performance in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer.
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge Of:
- Fee for Service billing procedures and requirements.
- Outcome measures and Quality Improvement processes.
- General office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability To:
- Supervise clinical and support staff, including the development of performance evaluations.
- Interact effectively with representatives of funding sources and referral agencies.
- Analyze and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Manage priorities to meet deadlines and demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
- Assimilate new information and technology.
Education and Experience:
- Master’ Degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Services field.
- Active Connecticut licensure - LCSW, LMFT, LADC or LPC
- Five years of supervisory experience with adult outpatient behavioral health services.
- Experience in CSSD funded programs a plus.
Other:
- Must be: ethical, self-motivated, dependable/reliable, and detailed oriented.
- Must be able to interface easily with staff, other senior management personnel, licensing/accreditation organizations and funding sources.
- Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20 pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
