Acute Peritoneal Dialysis RN
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Peritoneal Dialysis RN to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for administering acute peritoneal dialysis treatments, monitoring patients’ responses, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care. This position requires a compassionate individual who can educate patients and their families about dialysis-related processes and manage patient care plans meticulously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform acute peritoneal dialysis procedures for patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patient response to peritoneal dialysis treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Educate patients and their families on the purpose, process, and potential complications of acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, documenting and reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all procedures, medications, and interventions related to acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Ensure compliance with infection control measures and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Current in state License as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- 6 months of general dialysis experience
- Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis experience highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of dialysis treatment and procedures
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic and diverse team environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
