Wage: $30.00-42.00/hr, commensurate with experience

Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care during surgical procedures.
- Plan, prepare, and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for surgeries.
- Handle sterile surgical instruments and supplies to maintain a sterile field.
- Manage contaminated articles to mitigate occupational exposure.
- Set up operating rooms based on physician preferences and optimize workflow.
- Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.
- Assist in surgery and postoperative tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic surgical technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Possess knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization procedures.
- Maintain organizational skills, act to maintain sterility, and ensure patient safety through rational thought and aseptic techniques.
Technical Competency:
- Possess knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Understand surgical instrumentation and applications.
- Maintain organizational skills in preparing and maintaining sterile fields.
- Act to maintain sterility and address breaches.
- Communicate surgical activity accurately and effectively.
- Read and interpret technical information.
- Complete instrument decontamination and sterilization processes.
- Ensure patient safety through rational thought and aseptic techniques.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Current Colorado CST and BCLS certification required.
- One year of operating room scrub experience required.
- Previous ambulatory surgery experience is preferred.
