STARTING RATE: $33.00 ($33.00 - $36.00/hr., dependent on experience)

SHIFT: ALL SHIFTS (Days, Evenings, Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem, Weekend Warrior, Overnights)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Registered Nurse may supervise duties performed by LPNs and CNAs in a team care setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, and Director of Nursing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide direct care and treatment to long-term and rehabilitation residents
Provide assessment and documentation of residents under their care
Initiate and administer Intravenous treatments
Communicate with the Nursing team and medical team as appropriate
Review and evaluate the resident care plan
Transcribe Physician orders
Assist in orientating new staff
Maintain competency in all site-specific tasks required by the facility
Work closely with the RN Supervisor to ensure the best possible functions of the assigned unit
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
Record patients' medical information and vital signs
Assess the patient's ability to do routine daily tasks
Recognize and manage geriatric syndromes common to older adults
Prepare equipment and aid the physician during the examination and treatment of the patient
Communicate with family members regarding the patient
Record all care information concisely, accurately, and entirely, promptly, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms
Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting
