The Student Health Center at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. This is a full-time, eleven-month position with the expectation of providing primary health care to college students.
The mission of the Student Health Center is to provide quality, evidence-based medical care to our students in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical exams.
- Educate, counsel, and assist students regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and healthy behaviors.
- Use evidence-based care to make clinical decisions to formulate a plan of care.
- Promote the well-being of students to enhance retention and academic success.
- Collaborate and/or consult with other health care providers as appropriate on or off campus.
- Timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Provide high quality health care according to federal and NYS laws, American College Health Association standards and SUNY Oneonta and Student Health Center policies and procedures as related to college health.

Salary: $85,000 - $87,000(11-month position, one-month non-obligation).

Required Qualifications:
- NYS license for Registered Nurse and certification as Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner - OR - NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant
- Current national certification(s).
- Experience in women's health preferred or willing to learn (we will facilitate training).
Preferred:
- Recent experience in women's health.
- Recent experience in college/school-based health, family medicine or urgent care.
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
