How you will make an impact:
The Health System Executive is critical for the retention of existing revenue as well as the identification, assessment, and acquisition of new business within their assigned accounts. Representing the Healthcare Market Division portfolio of products and services, this individual is accountable for crafting, presenting, and mobilizing on a set of business objectives and strategies that markedly expand the business relationship at the assigned accounts.
In doing so, they will work in concert with other company executives and representatives, across businesses and functions, to achieve their goals. This role will lead engagements with multiple large regional Health Systems, with an overall portfolio consisting of both contracted customers and Business Development opportunities.
Additionally, the role requires this individual to continuously expand their customer network of contacts and key influencers, at both the executive and management level, to ensure access to untapped areas and opportunities within the customer's business.
Lastly, this role requires the individual to be a resourceful, self-starter able to navigate the complexities of a large corporation to accomplish their objectives. The position is based remotely and will require frequent travel. Expected travel is approximately 50%.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Lead prime contract and/or high share of wallet existing business and customer relationships while building a new business pipeline that enables broader Thermo Fisher engagement and expansion.
- Continuous prospecting for new opportunities across large IDN's and Regional Reference Labs.
- Engage with IDN Executives at the C and D levels to establish Thermo Fisher as a Trusted Advisor for key Health Systems in assigned territory.
- Drive customer centric strategies that builds customer satisfaction, dedication and advocacy for the purpose of accelerated business expansion.
- Lead case development and justification to determine the merits and prioritization (e.g. profitability, strategic fit/interest, capacity, and resource utilization) of business opportunities.
- Coordinate activities across the Account Management Team, Specialists, and other functional teams to ensure tight alignment to goals and activities.
- Prepare and deliver commercial, technical, operational and/or financial presentations in concert with other business colleagues.
- Engage and support initiatives (e.g. Practical Process Improvement) that increase customer delight and drive greater efficiency.
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
Who are we looking for?
- B.S. Degree required, preferably in the Science, Engineering or Business field. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- 7+ years of relevant commercial and/or marketing experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management or senior level Account Management, Strategic Marketing or Corporate accounts role.
- Record of success engaging and selling at Executive /C-Suite level within corporate level accounts.
- Expertise with large, multifaceted Health Systems and large regional Accounts.
- A reputation for managing resources responsibly in a matrixed organization.
- Trained in large account strategy and planning.
- Sound financial & business insight vital to understand key elements of business attractiveness.
- Confirmed ability to develop contracting strategy and directly own the negotiation of dynamic, multiyear agreements.
- Industry relevant marketing savvy required to build clear customer value propositions and messaging around the company’s offerings.
- Experience working with non-commercial functions including finance, supply chain, quality/regulatory and services organizations to advance business goals.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills!
- Proficient, daily use of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Able and willing to travel to customer locations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position based in Texas is $104,600.00–$156,875.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
