Job Description:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking an experienced enrollment management professional with high energy, the ability to lead and manage complex processes and teams, and an appetite for success. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff, overseeing the recruiting functions Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Enrollment Management team, the Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) will work closely with the Provost and SVP of Student Affairs to assist with providing vision, strategy, and technical and operational direction to enhance the university's enrollment.
VPEM duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the university's on-campus undergraduate enrollment efforts.
- This position is responsible for all aspects of the university's on-campus admission programs including marketing for recruitment of traditional and non-traditional students and for promoting the university by visiting high schools, agencies, and individuals.
- Works with the President and Executive Team to determine financial aid distribution and yearly discount rate.
- Provides oversight of the admissions and financial aid offices.
- Assists with the development and implementation of a university-wide strategic enrollment management plan to meet objectives for first year and transfer student enrollment.
- Develops recruitment and admission initiatives to meet enrollment targets.
- Coordinates activities with the VP for Marketing and Communications.
- Regularly analyze data, enrollment trends, and national demographics to shape, guide, and direct enrollment planning and objectives.
- Develops collaborative relationships with members of the campus community, creating partnerships with various constituents regarding recruiting and retaining students.
- Develops comprehensive messaging to students and families at all stages of the enrollment process including, but not limited to, in-person presentations, websites, print materials, social media marketing, and advertising.
- Provides oversight and direction to vendor relationships.
- Promotes personal interactions with prospective students and their families by involving members of the university community.
- Provides regular communication to the university community regarding on-campus events and enrollment trends.
- Develops reporting and analytics including use of the Slate CRM.
- Oversees territory management through dedicated admissions counseling staff.
- Serves on campus committees as needed.
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates admission staff members and student workers.
- Promotes and facilitates staff development and training. Ensure the professional development of subordinate employees by counseling, mentorship, and guidance; ensure that subordinate employees are afforded opportunities for personal and professional development.
Requirements:
The VP will be a consummate professional, cultivating a healthy team environment and working with constituents in a spirit of partnership, transparency, and accountability. The VP will have a track record of successful leadership in recruiting and management and a demonstrated record of developing and achieving goals. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and eight-plus years of admissions or related enrollment experience.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both written and oral) are essential. Presentation experience is essential. Exceptional sales and marketing skills. Ability to multi-task and the ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment. Financial aid knowledge is highly desired.
As one of 6 senior military colleges, 2/3 of students are part of a cadet program. Candidates who have recruited for military branches and have served in leadership roles in ROTC programs on college campuses will also be considered. Experience working with technology-enabled enrollment solutions and services, such as EAB or Ruffalo Noel Levitz is desired. Experience working with comprehensive Higher Ed Customer Relationship Management (CRM), such as Slate.
