Job Description:
Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Technical Artist to join the development of a new IP.
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining.
As a member of the Technical Art department, you’ll help solve problems, design and optimize features and workflows, build tools, support content creators and push boundaries.
As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
You’ll help us by…
- Work with art and technology departments evaluating performance issues and propose strategies on how to achieve optimal performance of art assets.
- Work on the automation of tasks with the available tools, propose new tools if necessary.
- Work with the different tech teams to improve workflows.
- Bridge communication between all departments involved in the optimization of levels.
You’re awesome because you have…
- Experience as a technical artist or in a similar position with an optimization focus.
- Coding and scripting knowledge.
- Good knowledge of 3D software packages like Maya.
- Familiarity with game engine workflows and a good understanding of real-time rendering processes and pipelines (experience with GLSL/HLSL).
- Strong understanding of pipeline and runtime game systems, including lighting and shading.
- The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
- Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude.
- Organization methods and the capability to meet agreed timelines.
- Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback.
- A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games.
Bonus points for…
- Experience with AAA titles.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $29.81 - $55.14 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
