The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Company is seeking two Senior Software Engineering Business Operations Specialists (Chief of Staff Office) - Level 5 based out of one of the following locations: Mesa AZ, Berkeley MO, El Segundo CA, Everett WA, or Seattle WA.
The Enterprise Software Engineering organization is currently seeking experienced business operation candidates to join the Chief of Staff Office and provide support to senior software leaders. This position requires engagement with Software engineering leaders from across the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** enterprise. A broad business knowledge is required to connect and collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to support recommendations to the Enterprise Software Leadership Team. This role is responsible for supporting the preparation of Software Engineering presentations and will support internal and external communications (i.e. presentations and speeches).
Position Responsibilities:
- Support in the development and execution of the Software Engineering strategy, communications, stakeholder engagement strategy, and operating rhythm.
- Support the leadership team to drive performance and accountability through the organization.
- Support various Software Leadership meetings (e.g. Risk Reviews, Finance Reviews, Program engagements) to ensure meetings are held efficiently and actions are tracked and worked.
- Support the development of meeting agendas and creation of content for webcasts, executive meetings, off-sites, and briefing charts.
- Assist in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals for authorization, such as sourcing strategy for commitment of work, cost imperatives, deployment analysis, and impact mitigation.
- Support the coordination and clarify the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long-range business goals and develop business cases.
- Coordinate the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies. Identify risk and opportunity potential, develop mitigation planning and refine the business case.
- Meet with leadership to gain approval.
- Provide implementation direction for work authorization.
- Collect, organize, and provide data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments, and compliance.
- Ensure follow-up action for issue resolution.
- Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. US Person includes lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 10 years of experience in Program/Project Management.
- 10 years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders (e.g. executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in an engineering environment highly desirable.
- Experience with the development and execution of strategies.
- Experience with risk, issues, and opportunities identification and mitigation plans.
- Experience in software development life cycles, configuration management, and best agile software engineering practices.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).
