We are seeking a senior architect (CA-licensed) to join our dynamic and growing team in the Bay Area. This leadership position is an essential part of our design team. We hope that this talented individual is passionate about design and has rich experience with high-end residential and commercial projects and detailing. In this role, you will influence and further develop the firm’s design philosophy while taking the lead. The Architect should enjoy seeing their designs take shape from inception to fully constructed projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of designers to complete technical documents.
- Prepare, coordinate, and complete construction documents and packages.
- Lead day-to-day construction administration activities including coordination with the contractor, owner, and consultants to maintain project progress.
- Mentor, provide oversight, and monitor the work performed by junior staff.
- Establish and execute project work plans and staffing requirements.
- Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements.
- Collaborate with various teams to establish goals, schedules, and budgets.
Qualifications
- Registered Architect (Licensed in California).
- 15+ years of experience in managing, designing, and detailing high-end single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
- Familiar with San Francisco and Berkeley planning and building codes.
- Technical knowledge of the above-mentioned types of projects.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Proficient in Revit and Rhino is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD is acceptable.
