What you'll do:
- Build and manage a high-performing software engineering team. Lead and set the technical direction of the team.
- Partner with engineering and operational teams across the company to drive strategic technical and business delivery.
- Partner with Product Managers on both long term product vision and short term roadmaps.
- Dive deep on all aspects of the overall design of the system. Leveraging experience and deep technical knowledge, provide leadership in evolving testing and deployment strategies.
- Continue improving team processes that optimize for product and operational flows.
- Grow your people and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Be an expert of the various domains that fall under the purview of the Card Processing space to support various SoFi/Galileo Product teams.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
- 5+ years of software engineering management experience (can overlap with programming experience).
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery principles and techniques, including unit testing and build & deploy pipelines.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver work with dependencies across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and operating resilient software components within a large scale distributed system.
- Experience building/operating services on AWS/cloud environment.
- Credit and/or issuer processing experience is a plus, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location. US-Based Base Compensation: $172,800 — $297,000 USD
