BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Other engineering degrees are also considered.
- 8+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience with increasing design/project responsibility.
- 3+ years of experience designing complex automated systems as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Proficiency with ME CAD tools (Solidworks preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Ability to work closely with and maintain healthy relationships through fast-paced, high-pressure project cycles with clients and team members.
- Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge about large gantry systems or manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Good understanding of basic mechanics and machine design.
- Experienced in either warehousing or the fulfillment center industry.
- Systems architecture experience or the ability to think at a systems level.
- Skilled at mentoring other engineers.
- Skills and knowledge in various disciplines such as controls engineering, system integration, robotics and/or project management.
- Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in designing injection molded, MIM and sheet metal parts.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $85,000 to $150,000.
