About the Role:
We are looking for Senior Staff/Principal Software engineers to help design and scale our carbon-reducing cloud computing platform. With Crusoe Cloud’s upcoming public launch, you will help us advance our storage infrastructure, virtualizing cutting edge computing hardware, and/or building out best in class networking capabilities.
As part of your responsibilities, you'll develop and refine technical and team fit assessments, mentor engineers, and actively contribute to their development in partnership with engineering managers.
A Day In The Life:
- Collaborate closely with tooling and customer success teams to design and develop advanced tooling solutions for Crusoe Cloud.
- Act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance on design proposals and conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Innovate and implement market-making features that set Crusoe Cloud apart from competitors, enhancing its unique value proposition.
- Work in partnership with the cloud support and operations teams to create features that support the growth and empowerment of Crusoe Cloud's business.
- Engage in continuous collaboration with various teams to ensure alignment of goals and maximization of resources for optimal customer experience.
- Lead by example in technical excellence, fostering an environment of innovation and high-quality software engineering practices.
You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern compiled language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- 5+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5-8+ years relevant work experience
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and algorithm design
- Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable and highly available fault-tolerant distributed systems and application architectures
- Solid understanding of infrastructure design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and build systems, such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform
- Experience in concurrency, multi-threading and synchronization
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with TCP/IP and network programming
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $290,000 - $320,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
