The Opportunity
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a Regional Vice President to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As the Regional Vice President, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across a portfolio of multi-unit Sportservice sites within the sports, hospitality, and retail sectors. This leader will play a critical role in executing Delaware North's growth and performance strategies, with a sharp focus on client satisfaction, employee retention, and leveraging cross-functional resources from the company’s Centers of Excellence. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, forward-thinking leader capable of fostering resilient, adaptable teams that align with our culture of innovation, efficiency, and client-centric service.
Due to the extensive travel required for this position, potentially 50%, we are open to remote candidates.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $168700 - $239100 / year. In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee operational performance across multiple locations to ensure exceptional client satisfaction and service delivery.
- Develop and implement innovative operational strategies, using technology and data analytics to drive efficiency, optimize workflows, and improve service outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to position Delaware North Sportservice as a leader in operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, focusing on alignment with their goals and providing tailored solutions that enhance client satisfaction. Conduct regular business reviews with clients, providing insights and recommendations for growth opportunities and operational improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with the Centers of Excellence and other departments to support operational goals, leverage internal expertise, and continuously improve client service models.
- Foster a high-performing, resilient, and adaptable team culture focused on employee retention and development.
- Coach and develop General Managers, building bench strength and ensuring a strong pipeline of talent for future leadership needs. Lead succession planning initiatives and actively engage in talent assessments across operational teams.
- Own and manage the P&L for assigned regions, focusing on maximizing profitability through cost control, revenue enhancement, and strategic resource allocation.
- Analyze financial performance data to make informed business decisions, align regional objectives with corporate goals, and optimize operational budgets.
- Hold General Managers accountable for financial and operational results, ensuring that all units meet or exceed set KPIs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role within multi-unit operations in sports and entertainment or hospitality sectors.
- Strong background in both concessions and premium dining services.
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and leveraging data analytics for operational improvements.
- Proven track record in team building, talent development, and fostering a culture of resilience and adaptability.
- Experience working collaboratively across functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skilled in developing and nurturing client partnerships, prioritizing client satisfaction and engagement.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% to various locations as needed.
