OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Holy Cross Health is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologist to join our Anesthesia team located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a care team model, providing medical direction over Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), while also having the chance to personally perform anesthesia.
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical direction and supervision to CRNAs in the delivery of anesthesia services.
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to orthopedic, gynecology, urology, general surgery, cardiovascular, and gastroenterology cases.
- Collaborate with surgical colleagues to achieve enhanced recovery goals through the use of peripheral nerve blocks and advanced regional techniques.
- Participate in the perioperative care of patients, including pre-operative evaluations and post-operative management.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in the field of Anesthesiology.
Call duties and holiday schedules are shared among the group to promote individual hourly and compensation flexibility.
Holy Cross Health is an academic community hospital with 24 anesthesia locations, including operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), endoscopy suites, bronchoscopy suites, and cardiac facilities. The hospital is equipped with two Da Vinci robots and five endoscopy room suites.
The Anesthesia team has the opportunity to work with surgical residents as part of a joint venture with the University of Miami.

Requirements:
- Board certification in Anesthesiology is required. Candidates who are board eligible must become board certified within two years of becoming board eligible.
- A valid State of Florida medical license is required at the time of employment.
- Candidates must hold a valid DEA license and have current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Proficiency in performing basic peripheral nerve blocks is preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidates if needed.
