What the day will look like
Aon Fac, Inc. seeks a Managing Director - Reinsurance based out of headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to support insurance activities. Responsibilities include:
- Place facultative reinsurance for natural resources property risks.
- Analyze natural resources risks (Power, Construction, Onshore Energy, Renewables, and Property) for reinsurance services.
- Direct new facultative broking production.
- Evaluate reinsurance placements, structures, and pricing to develop facultative reinsurance solutions.
- Oversee all steps within the placement process, including internal management systems.
- Identify client and prospect needs and oversee the development of reinsurance solutions.
- Analyze global risks and produce submission documents and data on risks for prospective markets/underwriters.
- Establish relationships with reinsurance partners.
- Serve as a lead broker in the onshore power industry practice and facultative broking business.
- Advise on capital choices for reinsurance services that support and improve operational effectiveness.
- Develop new business sales and development plans for identified targeted prospects and existing clients.
- Recruit and train new and existing talent.
- May travel up to 25% of time to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
Annual salary: $220,000 - $320,000.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Must have ten years of insurance experience. Must also have at least five years of experience in each of the following:
- Placing facultative reinsurance for natural resources property risks;
- Analyzing natural resources risks (Power, Construction, Onshore Energy, Renewables, and Property) for reinsurance services;
- Directing new facultative broking production;
- Evaluating reinsurance placements, structures, and pricing to develop facultative reinsurance solutions;
- Analyzing global risks and producing submission documents and data on risks for prospective markets/underwriters.

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position
The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $320,000 annually.
