The Director, Regional Transit Sales will work closely with MTM Transit Operations, Marketing and the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to oversee the growth of profitable new business within their assigned region, and to develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with market stakeholders. The Director, Regional Transit Sales will be responsible for executing a strategic approach to new client sales and initiating, developing, and closing those sales.
This role does require travel. Candidates must reside in the Western region of the country.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify new business opportunities by analyzing current and potential markets, competitor's share, strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Execute all facets of the role in conjunction with use of the Salesforce platform and MTM Transit sales playbooks and sales plan.
- Actively prospect for new business within their region that meets the current strategic focus for target clients as defined by the CSO.
- Achieve regional sales goals as defined by CSO on an annual basis.
- Contribute information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reaction.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of transportation company experience relatable to sales, corporate role of account management experience, or equivalent transportation industry experience (i.e. Agency GM).
- Will require local and overnight travel, extensive at certain periods.

- Experience with long sales cycles associated to regional government transit procurements within a RFP process a plus.

- Transit industry background preferred.

Salary Range:
Salary Min: $100,000
Salary Max: $130,000
