Ford Motor Company - ADAS Core HW Quality/Warranty Lead - Concord, New Hampshire
The ADAS Core HW Quality/Warranty Lead will play a critical role in enhancing the upfront quality of ADAS core hardware components. This position involves leading internal testing initiatives as well as spearheading quality and warranty investigations to identify root causes and collaborate with engineering teams to implement effective solutions.
What you'll do…
- Organize and conduct internal testing, including HALT, to assess the reliability and durability of hardware components. Analyze test results to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Lead internal investigations into quality and warranty issues, employing robust problem-solving techniques to determine true root causes.
- Work closely with core engineers and system teams to develop and implement corrective actions for identified issues, ensuring alignment with overall product quality goals.
- Develop and refine processes for quality assurance and recurrence prevention to drive continuous improvement in product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as manufacturing and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to quality management.
- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance their warranty screening processes, ensuring they can effectively replicate field conditions and failures.
- Assess warranty data and returned parts to monitor trends and action any quality actions in the field for Core ADAS components.
You'll have…
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Design, Release, and validation of E/E components
- 2+ years of experience in Automotive Electrical / Electronic components module design/validation
- 1+ year of experience in Failure Mode Avoidance analysis, Automotive E/E Requirements, EMC principals and Design Verifications.
Even better, you may have...
- MSEE or advanced degree preferred.
- Automotive Electronic Control Modules and Sensors Design and Development experience is a plus.
- Be familiar with ED&T, ESOW, Attachment C/3, To4, 5D/8D processes.
- Strong knowledge of E/E Systems and how E/E components interface with the other vehicle systems desired.
- An expert at analyzing and resolving complex issues.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and champion issue resolution to get the job done.
- Outstanding supplier relationship skills to coach and lead suppliers as required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to quickly learn the job (with mentoring from others), and then be able to self-lead the D&R Application work AV Sensing component/modules on Programs.
- Experience with packaging electronic modules and components in vehicles desired.
- Motivation to bring new technologies from concept to production in a short time period.
- CAD packaging experience and/or experience in CATIA and Team Center is a plus.
- Ability to travel, as necessary.
