Job Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be integral in steering the daily operations of the organization, providing visionary leadership while ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational excellence. This role involves the development of budgets, oversight of financial strategies, personnel supervision, and the execution of the strategic plan to achieve robust integration across various functional areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspiring Leadership: Foster an environment of collaboration and motivation by providing dynamic leadership throughout the organization.

- Merger and Acquisition Opportunities: Identify and assess potential merger and acquisition opportunities in collaboration with the CEO, ensuring thorough evaluation and due diligence processes.
- Business Development Tracking: Maintain meticulous tracking, reporting, and analysis of business development initiatives for executive review.
- Plan Implementation: Lead the execution of annual Development and Advocacy Plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Funding Source Development: Engage in the identification and cultivation of new funding opportunities to support ongoing programs and services.
- Growth Opportunities: Recognize and promote growth potentials across all departments and services.
- Performance Feedback: Provide consistent performance evaluations and constructive feedback for all direct reports.
- Collaborative Integration: Partner with the senior management team to synchronize cross-program activities and initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively guide and motivate diverse teams.
- Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, to engage with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills complemented by financial expertise, capable of managing multiple budgets and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with federal and state disability programs and services is essential.

Qualifications
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive executive-level management experience within the non-profit human services sector.
- A solid educational foundation, including an undergraduate degree and preferred advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in human services or a related field.
