Key Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise the Area Chief Engineers serving our communities.
- Oversee the coordination of technical service providers, including assisting with bidding contracts and the monitoring of quality control.
- Assist the Regional Director of Operations and the Facility Administrators with the preparation of capital budgets for the properties.
- Review construction drawings to ensure all building design requirements are met.
- Monitor staff efforts in the quality and timeliness of completing resident work requests.
- Analyze energy usage and demand information and implement operating strategies to reduce costs.
Requirements:
- 7 years of direct experience in the management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations for commercial buildings.
- Experience in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, life/safety and plumbing operations in commercial buildings including safety, code compliance and technology utilization.
- HVAC or electrical technical school training or equivalent experience required.
- Individual must be knowledgeable in monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures in a wide variety of commercial properties.
- Experience with computerized building management systems.
- Experience with computerized preventive maintenance and work order systems.
- Experience with the opening, staffing and commissioning of newly acquired properties.
- Experience with the operating and maintenance of older buildings and systems.
