Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and IT team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be a strategic business partner and play a key role in the company's financial future. The CFO will have primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, strategic financial planning, tax planning, and forecasting and ALL IT initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support the growth of the company.
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and ensure its accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
- Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
- Manage and coordinate all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
- Coordinate tax planning processes and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA is highly desirable.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA designation is ideal however 15 years of high level financial management with families in lieu will be acceptable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success reporting to owners.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and financial analysis processes.
- Experience with strategic and financial tax planning including the ability to apply these in a strategic and/or operational context.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience in or knowledge of food processing accounting, including sophisticated cost and commodity accounting, compliance, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
