Sr. Analyst, Category & Consumer - Modesto, CA
Job Summary: The Sr Analyst, Category & Consumer conducts category reviews to assess performance across customer segments, stores, and items. This role translates data and insights into specific category assortment, merchandising, advertising/promotions, and pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis for category reviews to assess performance across customer segments, stores, and items.
- Build consumer segment data and insights into specific category assortment, merchandising, advertising/promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Support vendor negotiation for category initiatives (e.g., "category month" for specific categories).
- Develop a portfolio of customer-centric product offerings for assigned categories that promotes the unique banner identity and ensures that the banner is relevant in every market and drives customers to the stores.
- Through analytics, store visits, and other research elements, determines future product needs for assigned categories.
- Design a merchandise execution and allocation plan to fulfill growth and revenue goals.
- Build and translate data into consumable and actionable steps to drive sales and profits.
- Collaborate with Field Operation teams to build merchandising plans to achieve maximum operational performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hiring pay range: $70,145.00 - $78,913.00

- Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), 10/10 query management system, and Fresh Facts (Nielsen) Data.
- Understanding the processing of Beef, Pork, Ground Beef, and Seafood at the store level.
Education: 4 year/Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience/training.
Experience: 5 years of related experience.
Other: Approximately 35% travel.
Work Environment: Office, Grocery Store, Distribution Center.
