Job Description:
Vanir Construction Management, Inc. currently has a unique opportunity for a talented individual to assist in the continued strategic growth of our organization. The position of Project Director (Healthcare) will serve as Program Manager and will work collaboratively with colleagues and our existing client(s) to deliver intelligent solutions that ensure quality project delivery. This individual will be responsible for providing oversight on the planning, design, and construction for programs as well as contribute in the development of project policies, standards, and procedures. May supervise Project Managers, Construction Managers and other project staff as assigned. Responsible for client interface, scope, schedule, and budget tasks as the primary leadership in the field. This position will be based in the Greater Seattle area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead our efforts in accordance with the program policies and procedures.
- Develop an implementation plan and master schedule that reflects the priorities of the program.
- Manage relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with project teams and to develop additional work opportunities.
- Authorize set-up and manage to completion contractual responsibilities for all assigned projects.
- Responsible for timely completion of all Program and Project deliverables required by the client.
- Financial reporting to the client and the bond oversight committee.
- Develop and review contract documents.
- Report and collaborate with client's senior management team and staff on all project matters.
- Ensure development and implementation of a program quality management system is followed.
- Ensure document and report all program/project data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage program controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client.
- Track all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related contract requirements.
- Create and present program and project data clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully.
- Develop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes relative to design and construction.
- Provide management of program logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project success.
- Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
- Supervise the work of others and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
- Responsible for ensuring fiscal year plan objectives are tracked, and reported related to revenue, budget and contribution goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required.
- Ideal candidates will possess 15+ years of experience providing project/program management services.
- Previous experience managing large Healthcare programs is required.
- Experience in managing the full construction of Healthcare construction project life-cycle: including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews is required.
- Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project related scheduling systems such as MS Project or Primavera are required.
- Experience running and participating on a significant Design Build project.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills are required.
- Experience preparing and presenting to various diverse audiences is required.
- Experience in maximizing the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred.
- Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred.
- Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Design-Build is preferred.
- Active member in industry organizations such as CMAA, DBIA, APWA, AHSHE etc. is preferred.
- Registration as Architect or Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- DBIA Certification is preferred.
Compensation:
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $140,000.00-$200,000.00.
