Job Description
The Vice President of Business Development manages the successful activation of growth strategies for Saatchi & Saatchi X, collaborating with cross-discipline leads to win and convert new business opportunities that drive healthy incremental revenue and strategic new client acquisition. Driving business growth by identifying, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities, you will engage and build relationships with key marketing decision-makers at Fortune 500 brands.

Your Impact:
- Evaluate, qualify, and create differentiated proposals that increase Saatchi X’s right-to-win new client engagements.
- Work with finance and delivery leads to help shape competitive proposals that demonstrate the value of Saatchi X’s offering in shopper and retail marketing transformation.
- Strive to accelerate scope and contract negotiations to close.
- Identify and develop net-new business pursuits with Fortune 500 companies to expand the agency's client portfolio and drive growth.
- Create effective measurement and tracking tools.
- Develop and implement an annualized strategic business development plan, setting goals and timelines to achieve the agency's growth targets.
- Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and challenges, and providing solutions.
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop a toolkit of resources for New Business activities.
- Lead pitches for new business, including preparation, delivery, and follow-up activities.
- Partner with other senior leaders in the agency to ensure growth strategy aligns with agency goals, client needs, market trends, and the capabilities of the team.
- Be the primary liaison between Saatchi & Saatchi X and Publicis Groupe business development partners, confidently engaging senior level client and procurement partners. Success in the role will be measured by revenue targets, chemistry/fit, growth strategy, pitch conversion to wins.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of building business for a commerce, shopper marketing, or retail-focused agency, marketing transformation, or digital business transformation consultancy.
- Must have experience engaging and working with C-level executives.
- Ability to travel when needed to agency offices, pitches, and conferences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Confidence in engaging with senior level client partners.
- Experience in national brand level, senior client level connection and capability.

Compensation Range: $143,000 - $195,500. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
