About the Role:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced VP of Engineering to lead and oversee the software engineering department of a forward-thinking healthcare technology company. This role requires both strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise to drive our engineering efforts, making a significant impact in the healthcare space.

Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the software engineering department, including team management, strategic direction, and technical oversight.
- Technical Vision: Develop and implement a forward-looking technical strategy that aligns with the company's goals.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product management to ensure the successful development and delivery of software products that meet market needs and customer expectations.
- Process Optimization: Establish and enhance engineering processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI, Hardware, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Budget Management: Oversee the engineering budget to ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet project goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a VP of Engineering, overseeing a software department.
- Strong background in software development and engineering management.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, complex engineering projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative attitude is essential.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical problem-solving.
- Ability to work in-office in Sunnyvale or Los Angeles is strongly preferred.
