Savan is seeking a Records Sr. Consultant to support the development and implementation of an agency’s RIM strategy and increase agency maturity across the RIM program scope. To be successful in this position, you should have an established career developing and implementing information-related strategies, policies, technologies, and procedures. You will be expected to quickly identify root causes of information challenges, assess and mitigate program requirements, and distill recommendations into actionable policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain a detailed understanding of agency records management program priorities, special projects, and ongoing records lifecycle support activities.
- Develop and support the implementation of guidance for paper, electronic records (covering both structured and unstructured data), and digitalization projects in accordance with the Federal Records Act, NARA guidelines, industry trends, and professional RIM standards.
- Advise stakeholders on appropriate courses of action to address complex, technical enterprise information governance challenges.
- Assess, advise on, and support the implementation of electronic records management solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Advanced understanding of records and information management laws, regulations, and practices.
- Experience developing strategic documentation such as strategic plans, roadmaps, assessments, and policies.
- Working knowledge of modern eRecords challenges and solutions to address them.
- 5 years’ RIM or Information Governance related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear instructions.
- Experience applying or maintaining records inventories, file plans, or records schedules.
- Working knowledge of applications used to enforce information governance or management policies such as SharePoint, Microsoft Purview, Hyland Solutions, M-Files, Documentum, etc.
- Strong and consistent business writing.

Compensation
Savan believes in offering fair and competitive compensation to all employees. Our salary structures are based on industry standards, market conditions, and the specific demands of each role. Salary determination for potential new employees is influenced by a combination of factors, including years of experience, educational qualifications, specialized skills and expertise relevant to the job, complexity, and scope of the role's responsibilities, internal salary structures, as well as the geographic location of the job. Salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
Compensation Range: $130,000.00-$150,000.00
