We are seeking a Margin Analyst who will assist with identifying potential lost contribution margin on a transactional level and is responsible for ensuring corrections and reporting trends to Leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Research and create visibility into costs to help identify solutions.
- Identify profitability opportunities through Revenue Summary Analysis.
- Track and measure results and report out progress to Management.
- Drive broad organizational accountability in all departments that impact margin.
- See all margin/profitability opportunities all the way through to root cause resolution.
- Work with Product Management and Accounting on the Negative Margin Review and Exception Report.
- Implement in-depth review of product cost, price supports, freight charges and customer prices.
- Cost analysis includes accuracy/maximization of special/contract pricing and optimization of buy strategy and supply plans.
- Propose changes to buy strategy, price support strategy or sell prices to maximize profitability.
- Leads issue resolution for Commercial Team from start to finish.
- Complete root cause analysis tracking and provide fast resolution.
- Complete Audits and Negative Margin Reviews on a timely basis.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree required (combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experience in Purchasing, Accounting or Customer Solutions in a distribution environment desired.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, pivot tables, Vlookup and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, organize and set priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly adaptable, self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Shown success in problem solving with cross-functional teams and various departments.
