Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Data Analysis provides direction and support both internally to the Finance Department and externally to other departments within the organization. Direction is provided via oversight of the HCC and Project Management Departments. Support ranges from data warehousing; application design; ad hoc report requests; core system design and workflow modification; hospital contract modeling and report automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Support the CFO with ad hoc requests.
- Work as an integral member of the Finance Department.
- Support the HCC and Star Departments with ad hoc requests, data transfer, and problem solving.
- Support the data warehouse which entails building and monitoring jobs, stored procedures, SQL scripts, and data marts.
- Ongoing data mart maintenance, i.e. IBNR, PCP cap, specialty Cap, etc. Design and build applications for various departments to help improve workflow and reduce administrative costs; i.e. the Event Tracking database for Provider Relations and Network Management; and the ESRD database for Medical Management.
- Design and develop reporting applications; i.e. the PCP Profit and Loss Model; PMPM costs by Specialty; and PCP Referral and Costs by Specialty.
- Develop reporting tools that mine data based on user input. For example, a user inputs select dates and can run admissions for a user-defined time period.
- Ability to decipher workflows, document them using Visio, and identify non-value-added tasks.
- Run special projects including project assembly; task identification; notification to executive leader of progress and constraints.
- Review, build a schematic and make operational key system modules, i.e. Authorization protocols and P4P registries.
- Dashboard reporting to display key performance indicators (KPIs), i.e. Executive dashboard and Home Visit Dashboard.
- Maintain the department's intranet site.
- Reporting Services report design; i.e. Claims productivity reporting and RBRVS equivalents.
- Hospital contract rate modeling.
- Basic cash flow reporting.
- Ad hoc reports as requested.
- All other duties as directed by management.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,000 - $115,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree
- SQL programming
- Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and other applications as required
- Excellent observational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Three to Five years experience in data warehousing and analytics; and prior experience functioning at a managerial level.
Compensation: $110,000 - $115,000
