Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Bonanza Camping Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The General Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the resort, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, and maintaining financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the campground--including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and security.
- Ensure that guest satisfaction is maintained at all times by providing exceptional customer service.
- Manage staff and provide leadership, training, and support to ensure that they are motivated, engaged, and providing the highest level of customer service.
- Maintain financial goals by managing expenses and revenue, including monitoring and analyzing financial statements and reports.
- Ensure that the resort is operating in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with guests, suppliers, and vendors to ensure that the resort is providing the highest level of service and quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability, including marketing, promotions, and partnerships with local businesses and attractions.
- Implement and enforce resort policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for all guests.
- Attend regular meetings and training sessions to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Participate in the completion of weekly and monthly reports for ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a management position.
- Knowledge of RV resort or campground operations preferred.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Comfortable with technology and basic programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, suppliers, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to the hospitality industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospitality: 3 years (Preferred)
