About The Role & Team
This role will support the numerous existing customers we already have as well as help us rapidly build the market. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will help guide our enterprise prospects and customers in leveraging Amplitude's platform to create better, stickier, more interesting digital products. Through the application of our powerful behavioral analytics tool, robust A/B testing system and easy-to-use CDP you will inspire prospects to see a better future that leverages our unified platform. You'll have the opportunity to meet with product leaders, data leaders, marketing leaders and more! You will help drive business and technical discoveries and lead winning proof steps to creatively position Amplitude's value in the context of their business. In short, you'll be the face of Amplitude to some of the world's most interesting and innovative businesses.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, your input and opinions are deeply valued. You'll have the opportunity to influence product direction, collaborate with corporate and field marketing, and have a huge impact on our business.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will:
- Design and deliver world-class, storytelling-based demos, run pointed discovery sessions and own proofs of value of Amplitude's solution.
- Couple your product, data and analytics expertise to align Amplitude's solution with enterprise customer pains.
- Lead conversations with technical teams on topics such as data import, data quality, data governance and reference architecture.
- Work closely in your day to day with account executives, product development, engineering and customer success to ensure a seamless buying experience for our prospects.
- Advise prospects on their data strategy and growth stack architecture to ensure efficient and high-quality results.
- Provide guidance on preferred integration methods to technical stakeholders.
- Advise prospects on the kinds of data they should be collecting to produce their desired results.
- Scope and lead hands-on evaluations with prospects to inspire them and make them enthusiastic about using the platform.
- Be an in-house expert in Amplitude's product and stay up-to-date on product releases and new features, assist in training new SC team hires and hand off well-structured, use-case-based deals to our post sales teams.
- Enhance the Amplitude product roadmap forward by sharing product feedback and new requirements from the field back to our product management team.
- Travel to customer on-sites to deliver demos and to build strong customer relationships.
You'll be a great addition to the team if:
- You have 5+ years of enterprise software experience including at least 3 years of pre-sales or solution engineering experience.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
- You have a clear understanding of the modern growth stack including data, messaging, A/B testing and, of course, analytics.
- You have technical experience in tools using SDKs and APIs.
- You have an appetite for learning about the world of product development, digital marketing, behavioral analytics and data science.
- You get energized when you give a demo that dazzles and inspires your prospect (and buries your competition).
- You love sharing your winning strategies with the broader sales and solutions consulting community.
- You like to build strategies on how to address new markets and verticals.
- You get charged up by the idea of working with a high-performing, highly-collaborative, highly-communicative coworkers.
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
