What They Need…
A strategic and operationally-minded Vice President of Human Resources who will collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to drive the company’s growth by building robust HR solutions aligned with Cascade’s mission and values. This leader will develop and implement strategies focused on talent management, workforce planning, DEIA, and organizational development. A strong emphasis on HR operational excellence and the ability to lead change management is essential as the company continues to grow and expand into new markets. This role requires a visionary who can nurture a high-performance culture and attract top talent in alignment with Cascade’s ambitious goals.
What You Will Do…
- Engage as an active executive leadership team member to influence and make decisions that support the vision, mission, and goals in a growing, innovative services environment.
- Build the people vision, talent management, and workforce planning strategy, with DEIA at the forefront, in partnership with the executive team.
- Enable and nurture a high-performance, client-focused, and highly engaged culture.
- Drive HR operational excellence, ensuring comprehensive support across the employee lifecycle.
- Develop effective people integration and change management strategies as the company expands organically and into new markets.
- Enhance organizational management practices, applying continuous improvement techniques to drive quality and profitability.
- Drive effective communication strategies that ensure organization-wide clarity, strategic alignment, teamwork, and employee engagement.
- Provide support and expertise to supervisors in establishing departmental objectives, staffing strategies, performance standards, policy development, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Drive an effective employment brand strategy that attracts top talent.

- Deliver leadership and management development programs that ensure consistent, high-quality management practices and build bench strength for future leaders.
- Design total rewards, performance management, and development programs that support and sustain a high-performing culture while unleashing the power of talent.
- Develop an HR dashboard to inform organizational decisions regarding headcount cost, organizational performance, attrition, retention, productivity, and employee engagement.
What You Need to Have…
- 10+ years of HR leadership driving best-in-class people solutions, aligning HR strategies to the organization’s vision, mission, and goals.
- Experience in a growing organization with at least 200+ employees.
- Strong expertise in leading HR Operations, including HRIS, benefits, compensation, and legal compliance across multiple states.
- Broad HR Leadership with experience scaling for growth, talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, policy design, and building cultural values and DEIA into the HR infrastructure.
- Ability to influence, lead change, and accomplish goals through a collaborative effort and excellent team communication.
- Ability to foresee, prepare, and respond swiftly to changing business, external environmental factors, and other areas that influence the business.
- Desire to work in an employee-ownership culture within an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) organization, with a shared responsibility mindset and developing programs that emphasize the value of ownership and collective success.
- Passionate about contributing to environmental sustainability by aligning HR initiatives with Cascade Energy’s mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and drive energy efficiency across industrial sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA, MA or MS, and/or SPHR or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
Travel:
- May be up to 60 days a year.
- Quarterly visits to the Portland office for Executive Leadership meetings.
