Position Overview:
The Director of Human Resources (HR) of Recovery Works NW is a member of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of HR handles overseeing HR management and department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Their duties include communicating between agency senior leadership and management, creating and implementing new systems and processes to improve efficiency, managing the HR department’s budget and coordinating with management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
Location: This is a full-time hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days on site at one or more of the following Recovery Works NW locations as needed:

Compensation:
Starting at $80,000 depending on verified experience and education
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s vision by identifying and researching human resource issues.
- Provide guidance on employee-related matters, including assisting management in all personnel disciplinary matters.
- Conduct investigations as needed or requested into matters involving employee misconduct or concerns.
- Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives.
- Analyze trends and propose competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies.
- Lead, Mentor & Manage a team of direct reports within the HR department.
- Utilize Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and other tools to streamline HR processes and data management.
- Conduct trainings for staff and employees as needed to inform them of changes to policies and procedures, as well as on changes to the benefit programs.
- Coordinate and administer all required staff health and safety training.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to gain insight into the business aims and strategies associated with employee relations, recruitment, retention, training programs and company culture.
- Follow federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Director or in a senior HR leadership role.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a medical, clinical or behavioral health setting.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM SCP Preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex HR challenges.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Experience working with people with “lived experience” of recovery is preferred but not needed.
- Experience with rapidly expanding organizations.
