POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Market Director Position for The Renfro Refreshment Company is responsible for overseeing and managing all marketing and operational activities related to bar concessions. This role involves managing the performance of the concessions service and operations, developing strategies to enhance customer experiences, and driving revenue growth. The Market Director will work closely with the operational teams, vendors, and clients to ensure that all concession operations meet company standards and exceed customer expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans specific to concession operations to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify growth opportunities and market trends within the concession industry and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Work with Operations Director to analyze market trends, competitive landscape, sales data, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Set annual marketing goals and track performance against targets.
- Determine and explore other possible clients and business opportunities within the market.
Operational Oversight
- Monitor and manage the performance of concessions operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with operational teams and client management to optimize product offerings, pricing, and service delivery.
- Work with internal and client management teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory standards, and licensing.
- Manage point of sale operating system and all menu advertising.
- Oversee all necessary reporting.
Vendor and Sponsorship Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of products and favorable terms.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to achieve cost savings and optimize inventory.
- Manage and activate sponsorship agreements and ensure that deliverables are met.
Team Management:
- Hire, lead, and mentor a team of managers and staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and customer service.
- Implement best practices for staff recruitment, development, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure high standards of service and professionalism from employees.
- Create and memorialize standard operating procedure documentation.
Customer Experience Enhancements:
- Develop initiatives to improve the overall customer experience at concessions.
- Work with clients to gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously refine and improve service delivery.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in live entertainment concessions.
- Create marketing materials and signage to effectively promote concession offerings.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage a budget for concession operations, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Track financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Monitor expenses and financial performance to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze financial reports and provide insights on performance metrics and trends.
Compliance, License, Maintenance, and Safety:
- Ensure that all concession operations comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Create and sustain maintenance and cleaning procedures and schedules.
- Address and resolve any contractual compliance or safety issues promptly.
- Guarantee that all state and local licenses are current and valid.
- Track and ensure that all employees are licensed and/or certified for their position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires frequent visits to concession locations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet operational demands.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Applicable bar and restaurant experience.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams, as well as driving operational excellence.
- Experienced with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often requiring flexibility in working hours.
- Capability to trouble-shoot; solve problems independently and proactively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and provide quality deliverables.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
