Summary
Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics to lead the Payment Integrity Organization’s data strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making, managing a high-performing analytics team, and delivering actionable insights that enhance payment accuracy and recovery efforts. A key component of this role is developing and delivering client-facing business intelligence solutions that demonstrate the value of Gainwell’s services, strengthen client relationships, and drive revenue growth. You will also spearhead innovation efforts in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance Gainwell’s payment integrity capabilities.
Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing business performance, scaling analytic capabilities, and advancing Gainwell’s mission of promoting payment integrity across the healthcare industry.
Your role in our mission
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and execute the business intelligence and analytics strategy within the Payment Integrity Organization, aligning with Gainwell Technologies’ overall goals.
- Client-Facing Analytics: Develop and deliver client-facing business intelligence and analytics solutions that provide clients with actionable insights, demonstrate the value of payment integrity services, and enhance client satisfaction.
- Innovation in AI/ML: Drive innovation in artificial intelligence and machine learning, leading the development of new tools and methodologies that enhance payment accuracy, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and BI developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies to enhance predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning models that drive payment accuracy and recovery initiatives.
- Establish an analytics roadmap, ensuring that high-priority projects are delivered on time and contribute to the growth of the Payment Integrity Organization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Product Development, Compliance, and client management teams, to ensure that analytics initiatives meet both internal and external business needs.
- Lead the development and execution of advanced analytics solutions, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models, to detect and prevent improper payments, fraud, and waste.
- Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide clear and actionable insights to stakeholders and clients.
- Drive continuous improvement of analytics processes, focusing on scalability, accuracy, speed of delivery, and client impact.
- Ensure data practices comply with regulatory requirements and that data security is maintained at the highest standards.
- Manage budgets, resources, and partnerships to maximize ROI on analytics initiatives.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions directly to clients.
- Proven experience leading AI/ML innovation projects, with a strong understanding of how to leverage these technologies to solve complex business challenges.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and experience with AI/ML frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling data analytics teams, with a track record of delivering measurable business results.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on leveraging data and AI to solve complex business challenges and drive growth.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying opportunities to enhance both internal operations and client outcomes.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
What you should expect in this role
- This position is fully remote within the United States, with annual travel possible up to 10%.

The pay range for this position is $137,100.00 - $195,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
