What You Will Do
The Program Analyst will be responsible for supporting our client, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this role, you will support the VA in tasks requiring program planning, audits, and evaluations related to various healthcare programs and projects. Tasks may include supporting program analysis, strategic planning, integrated master scheduling, event planning, Congressional Affairs, metrics, Financial Management systems, and risk management. You may also assist with the development of strategic and operational plans, the implementation of strategic initiatives, and collaborate with the client to define best practices that maximize adoption of new tools and processes.
As a Program Analyst, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and healthcare experience, helping our healthcare clients solve complex clinical and business issues from strategy to execution.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Work independently, with minimal supervision, and partner with others to develop relationships across the engagement team.
- Guide client and internal subject matter expert conversations towards effective outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate project risks around scope, schedule, and quality, effectively escalating to engagement leadership.
- Develop strategies to solve complex clinical, technical, and operational challenges for our healthcare clients.
- Perform technical and process analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management.
- Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis to identify and recommend enhancements to continuously improve client operations.
- Communicate solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations.
- Support and coordinate operations for complex programs.
- Experience managing project budget, resources, risk, and quality.
- Identify, propose, plan, and implement strategic direction and report progress to senior leaders.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and other visual products to communicate performance to senior leaders.
- Prepare for and facilitate both internal and external stakeholder discussions.
- Oversee organization and facilitation of client meetings, including scheduling, drafting and delivering agendas, providing and archiving required documentation, and documenting, tracking, and following up on action items.
- Support the technical expert on a program, understanding and communicating the program’s processes, systems, training, data availability, deployment, and resources as well as alignment against the program’s strategic goals.
What You Will Need
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- 1-5 years of project management consulting experience in the healthcare industry.
- Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritize resources and time effectively.
- Experience maintaining project timelines and contributing to project reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client/public-facing documents as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Comfort with quantitative analysis in Microsoft Excel and ability to translate analysis findings.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or the Military Health System.
- Current PIV.
- Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
- Change management experience.
- PROSCI Change Management Certification.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $86,100.00-$172,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
