Job Responsibilities
Visa is seeking an experienced payments professional to join the Visa Employee Benefit Sales team. This sales position is responsible for expanding and deepening Visa’s issuance and Visa Direct disbursements strategy with:
- Collaborate closely with the M&A integration team and several Acquired Entity team members to facilitate the various M&A integration activities. Assist in defining and maturing the M&A integration processes for Third-party Tech Management including Asset & Demand management.
- Visa partners (Issuers, Program Managers, Processors, and FinTechs)
- Non-Visa partners for securing Visa preference
- Driving new use cases
This position includes working closely with Visa’s:
- Government Engagement team to monitor and lobby for educating government decision makers and influencers on the benefits and value of consumer directed healthcare programs.
- Issuing Partners and Program Managers to lead and grow Visa’s purchase volume and Visa Direct transactions across all Employee Benefits markets.
- Prepaid Product, Visa Business Solutions (Healthcare), and Visa Direct Product / Marketing teams to:
- Position Visa as the leader in the payments industry.
- Drive new product use cases (segment and product including Visa Direct).
- Additional accountabilities will include ongoing support of our Visa partners via participation in Employers Council on Flexible Compensation and HSA Council, RFP development / response, leading all aspects of program performance and expanding Visa’s share of electronic payments.
Although we prefer this Sr. Account Executive position to be located in one of our Visa hubs, we are open to the possibility of a remote work arrangement should it suit all parties.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid payments experience with emphasis and focus on card payments is an important need for this role.
- Must have both Employee Benefit Industry knowledge AND payment experience.
- Relationship and experience with Healthcare technology companies, third party benefits administrators, and HSA Administrators.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Card Issuing / Acquiring experience beneficial. Exposure to servicing Financial Institution clients in these areas is required.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Shown ability to implement critical initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with validated trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
- Confidence and ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to consumer directed healthcare organizations.
- Ability to negotiate business agreements and enhance existing and new relationships.
- Demonstrate understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance and an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision making.
- Strong analytical skills for large volumes of aggregated data.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success / achievement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Consulting experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 25-50% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 164800.00 to 214200.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
