Position Description
HGL is seeking an experienced corporate recruiter to recruit environmental remediation professionals. The position is part of the corporate HR team and offers a hybrid work schedule in HGL’s Reston, VA office.
Responsibilities/Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Interface with Hiring Managers, technical experts, and management to manage a portfolio of recruiting assignments, including fully funded new positions, replacement roles and proposal recruiting activities.
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring officials to ensure accuracy in job descriptions and related role, location, and other job data. Develop relationships with hiring managers and their teams to facilitate communication.
- Post Job announcements in appropriate sites and sources; Source for and recruit qualified applicants. Encourage and facilitate internal referrals from all aspects of the organization.
- Screen resumes and candidates, creating and providing documentation for the record.
- Manage the hiring workflow and ensure compliance, coaching Hiring Managers on HGL processes, and identifying and eliminating roadblocks, if any.
- Manage pre-employment due diligence activities, make offers, negotiate salaries, and close candidates for a successful start.
- Ensure recruiting data integrity by auditing the corporate Applicant Tracking System.
- As needed, support virtual job fairs.
- Must be aware of and comply with all federal and state laws and company policies regarding recruitment and selection processes.
- Provide onboarding support and guidance.
- Analyze recruiting results and data and provide technical advisement about resources.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience in the government consulting industry, preferably with either a technical, scientific or engineering basis.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience using web-based recruiting to include social media, job boards and ATS.
- Ability to handle up to 15-20 open requisitions for technical professionals at a time.
- Ability to partner with management at the Executive level.
- A high level of energy, resourcefulness, professionalism, and a can-do attitude.
