SSGA is seeking to find a Vice President, Account Executive (AE) within our Institutional Client Group (ICG) in North America. This role will focus on business development, identifying new institutional clients in the East region. The role reports into the Head of East Region in the Asset Owner Client Channel. This role plays a key focus in driving SSGA’s sales strategy to grow and expand SSGA’s market share. SSGA’s product suite includes index, systematic active, fundamental, and multi-asset class strategies across equity and fixed income investments.
The role is a sales leader who will be responsible for creating, identifying, advancing their sales pipeline of activity as well as closing new business opportunities. You will engage internally across the organization which requires a candidate who is a strong culture fit. We want our AEs to build positive relationships across the broader sales, relationship management, product marketing, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle. The candidate will be expected to engage with colleagues across State Street Global Services and State Street Global Markets divisions to best position SSGA and State Street Corp’s value proposition that makes sense for our clients.
A Successful Candidate will have…
- Minimum experience 7-10 experience of a successful track record selling to institutional asset owners with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to demonstrate how to prioritize and achieve sales measurements and sales targets.
- Strong investment acumen and knowledge of index, systematic active, fundamental, and multi-asset class, is needed.
- Existing industry relationships with investment consultants, corporate DC and DB plans can help accelerate the success of sales initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CFA a plus.
- FINRA 7, 63 and 3 required or obtained within 6 to 12 months of hire as discussed with your hiring manager.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
