Job Description
At Fox Tech, we stand as a beacon of innovation, crafting world-class, large scale digital products that redefine the entertainment experience. We're on the lookout for visionary individuals to join our pioneering team, tasked with shaping the future of streaming products. Now is your chance to be part of creating and delivering extraordinary digital experiences spanning Sports and Entertainment.
As a key member of our team, you'll drive innovation and significantly contribute to our mission of pioneering the next generation of streaming products. Your opportunity to create unparalleled fan experiences for these iconic sports events is here. Our current advanced digital solutions, accessed by millions across web, mobile, and living room devices, signify just the start of our ambitious journey.
About The Role
As a Sr. Data Scientist specializing in AI/ML and personalized user experiences, you'll spearhead transformative initiatives to drive business success through tailored applications. Your role involves leveraging deep expertise in AI/ML leadership to revolutionize our offerings, ensuring engaging, user-centric streaming applications. Innovation is at the core of this position, where staying abreast of evolving technologies and frameworks is crucial to optimize product performance and elevate user experiences.
A Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities
- Creating delightful consumer experiences through AI/ML: Your models, ideas and creating problem solving should ensure that our users are always being engaged with the content that best suits them.
- Leading the way: You’ll be leading other, more junior data professionals and helping them to understand how best to approach solving the problems that allow us to better engage with our users.
- Quality and Efficiency: You will be responsible for writing high quality “code” that is both efficient and performant. You should be proud of the performance of your models and algorithms and understand that latency and/or inefficiency in any part of the chain impacts our users.
- Focusing on what matters: There are many ways to solve a problem, you’ll need to ensure that we are solving those problems in a way that serves our users as well as the bottom line. You should be considering the ROI of the solution to ensure it’s driving the value you expect.
- Cross-team collaboration: Data science is part of everything we do. You’ll need to be comfortable working with teams from marketing, product, engineering and more to ensure that we are always putting our best foot forward in any consumer touch points.
What You Will Need
- AI/ML Expertise: Deeply knowledgeable and experienced in playing a leadership role within AI/ML teams to drive positive business outcomes through personalization.
- Deep knowledge of streaming applications: You live and breathe streaming applications and believe you know how to make our applications more exciting and tailored to our user base.
- Innovative Mindset: A passion for exploring new technologies and frameworks to improve product performance and elevate user experience. The data science world has never seen the kind of rapid change we are currently experiencing. You should be up-to-date with the latest developments, technologies and frameworks and understand what to lean into and what to avoid as it relates to our business.
- Test Everything and then Test Again: You know that statistics lie, but well-formed tests don’t (usually). You have deep experience A/B/multivariate testing to understand what models, technologies or general approaches are best suited to each problem. You’re not scared of your hypothesis being proven wrong and only want to get to what is the best solution for the current problem at hand.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing ideas and solutions while valuing collective success. You understand that not all businesses are the same but you can find ways to extend our personalization frameworks to deliver value across the board.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and embrace learning opportunities to drive continuous improvement. You embrace the fast-changing nature of artificial intelligence and machine learning and look forward to adapting and integrating the new possibilities they unlock into our products.
- FOX Tech is a globally distributed team; You’ll need to be open to attending occasional meetings and/or troubleshooting sessions outside your normal work hours.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
- Experience working on streaming applications, particularly those which carry high-scale events.
- Ad tech experience. If you’ve been personalizing advertising for varied cohorts of users, we want to talk to you!
