Your opportunity
You will play a crucial part in building an innovative cloud platform designed to scale from "0 to 100" within minutes. This platform will be user-friendly for engineers working in a multi-cloud/multi-region environment and will fully support enterprise-grade customers from reliability, security, and compliance perspectives. It will be key to New Relic's strategy of continuous growth across various customer segments without geographical limits.
You will drive platform requirements for at least three engineering teams (15+ engineers), designers, and engineering stakeholders, while collaborating closely with nearly all engineering teams across the company. Reporting to a Product Leader, you will be part of the Cloud Platform PM team and work closely with engineering managers and architects.
What you'll do
- Drive the vision and strategy for the Cloud Platform evolution, that should support the company growth trajectory and at the same time contribute to the engineering efficiency in rolling their features in multi-cloud/region environments.
- Build a data-driven roadmap, defining, analyzing, and reporting business and engineering efficiency metrics to meet your OKRs.
- Partner closely with cross organizational engineering, security, compliance and design to collaborate on requirements discovery and product development.
- Effectively manage dependencies, priorities, and plans across multiple teams and functions across New Relic to ensure alignment to meet business goals.
This role requires
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience building and launching technical products as a Technical Product Manager or a customer facing Software/System Architect (w/cloud services focus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus points if you have
- Computer Science background preferred.
- Experience in building cloud SaaS products for engineers with focus on high scale platforms with intensive utilization of K8s, SQL/NoSQL DBs, Kafka, CDNs.
- Experience in managing requirements/building cloud managed services for any cloud provider.
- Familiarity with cloud managed services for K8s, DBs and cloud network enablers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with frameworks/services like Amazon: Aurora, EKS, MSK; Azure: Cosmos DB, AKS; Google: GKE, Cloud SQL; Confluent Cloud.
- Familiarity with system compliance standards such as FedRamp, HIPAA.

Compensation and Benefits
Estimated Base Pay Range: $162,000 - $203,000. The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
