JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. Director Analytics to join our growing team.
THE ROLE
The Senior Director of Data and Analytics will lead Jeld-Wen's data and analytics initiatives, transforming data into strategic enablers. This leader will oversee data governance, data engineering, analytics, and data science teams, ensuring the effective collection, management, and utilization of data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with Jeld-Wen’s business objectives.
- Embed data-driven decision-making across the organization, driving a culture of data literacy and analytics.
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and partners to build a best in industry data and analytics organization.
Data Management & Governance:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources and platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize data processes and define data management best practices.
Analytics & Insights:
- Lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics solutions, including predictive modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Partner with all business units (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Technology & Innovation:
- Evaluate and implement modern data and analytics tools and technologies to support business needs.
- Drive innovation in data analytics through the adoption of AI, machine learning, and data science techniques.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of data platforms and analytics tools.
Performance Management:
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of data initiatives.
- Regularly report on data and analytics performance, progress, and key insights to senior leadership.
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Champion agile methodologies to enhance project execution and data operations.
- Partner with key stakeholders across different departments, fostering an environment of cross-functional business development and data-driven decision-making.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least seven years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in building and executing data strategies in a complex, global organization.
- Strong expertise in data management, data governance, data engineering, analytics, and data science.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, tools, and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, cloud data platforms, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in leading and growing high performing data and analytics teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
