The Department of Population Sciences in the Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope is seeking an Associate or Full Professor with expertise in implementation science to lead as the Director of the Division of Health Equity. We seek an experienced individual who will focus on implementation of science principles and healthcare delivery within a growing portfolio of cancer prevention, cancer control, outcomes research and health equity.
This opportunity offers the potential for creation of highly impactful research, with the goal to build a program of independent research and implementation science in a highly transdisciplinary collaborative environment. Importantly, the position will build a portfolio of collaborative research that translates research advancements into tangible benefits for patients and communities affected by cancer, focused on addressing cancer disparities.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Conduct research training or scholarly productivity in behavioral science, dissemination and implementation science, cancer disparities, health systems, and community-engaged research.
- Build a multi-disciplinary program in implementation science to address cancer burden and disparities.
- Demonstrate success in research collaboration on NIH or similar grant-funded projects.
- Direct the Division of Health Equity, leading a highly transdisciplinary group of faculty.
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Division.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- MD, PhD, DrPH, DO, DNP, DSW in health-related fields (e.g., health services research, nursing, social sciences, or other related fields, such as public health, epidemiology, systems science, health policy, or psychology)
- Expertise in implementation science methods and study designs
- Proven track record of extramural funding and publications
- Experience mentoring junior faculty and collaborating with researchers
