DUTIES:
Senior Directors are critical team members that execute client engagements and successfully partner with clients in delivery. Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Function as a Team Leader managing teams and leading projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision.
- Proactively lead the development of solutions to problems through management consultations, data analysis, team meetings, and other applicable strategies.
- Disaggregate complex business problems, working with other members of the team to develop hypotheses-focused analyses and recommendations.
- Oversee/build flexible models to support data-driven recommendations. Examples of typical analyses include:
- Customer and channel profitability
- Product/SKU rationalization
- Product pricing
- Direct procurement costing
- M&A integration and divestitures
Develop original insights and recommendations and prepare clear, well-written documents to facilitate discussions with clients and drive impact.Communicate and present work product, analyses, and recommendations to clients.Navigate stakeholder relationships and manage client expectations with professionalism.Participate in business development activities, creating proposals, and writing company perspectives.Create thought leadership articles on Retail and Consumer Products industry trends and technology topics.Contribute to Retail and Consumer Products team internal practice development tasks such as developing case studies, toolkits, and workshops for team development.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and 8 years of experience in any job title with either a management consulting firm, a top-tier retail/consumer products company, private equity firm, or an investment bank.
Must have 8 years of prior experience:
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing Business Intelligence models for data cleansing, distilling insights, and creating recommendations to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated experience in cost optimization opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in review and analysis of key financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow).
- Demonstrated experience in using analytics software packages like MS Access, Alteryx, Excel/VBA, Think-cell, and Tableau.
- Demonstrated experience in leading sales/proposal activities.
- Demonstrated experience benchmarking financial metrics and processes to identify performance gaps and improvement insights.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining compliance and control to the businesses and to the financial community.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and driving large-scale M&A integration and divestitures.
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams of 2-6 professionals.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end FP&A operating model, process, and technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in digital transformations involving technology packages like SAP, MS Dynamics.
