The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Maumee Valley Guidance Center. The CEO will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and operation of the organization, ensuring the delivery of high quality mental health services. This role involves close collaboration with the Board of Directors, community stakeholders, and staff to achieve the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and vision.
- Lead the organization in achieving its long term goals and objectives, fostering innovation and growth.
- Anticipate and respond to changes in the mental health care environment, ensuring the organization's adaptability and sustainability.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day to day operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery across all programs.
- Work closely with clinical and programmatic leaders to ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of high quality mental health services.
- Implement best practices and evidence based approaches to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Manage the organization's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Identify and secure diverse funding sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships, to support the organization's programs and services.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and cost effectiveness.
Community Engagement:
- Foster and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including local governments, healthcare providers, community organizations, and donors.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and in public forums, advocating for mental health awareness and support.
- Develop and implement community outreach initiatives to expand the organization's impact and visibility.
Compliance Oversight:
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure the organization meets all regulatory expectations and goals, including accreditation and licensure requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop policies, set goals, and evaluate program performance.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and strategic recommendations to the Board, fostering informed decision making.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Board and the organization's staff.
Staff Development:
- Provide guidance and direction to department heads and teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure ongoing staff development and training to maintain high standards of care, including professional development opportunities and performance evaluations.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A Master's degree in Mental Health Services, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of executive leadership experience in a behavioral health or healthcare setting, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health services, including Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
- Experience in financial management, fundraising, and community engagement.
