Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to support the firm's patent prosecution practice, leveraging technical expertise to assist the firm's clients in protecting their technology with patents.
Candidates can be based out of our Houston, Philadelphia or Washington, D.C. offices.
The Patent Agent/Patent Attorney will draft patent applications and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The Patent Agent/Patent Attorney will draft scientific and technical patent applications clearly and concisely, conducting technical research using available resources in support of various patent-related matters.
Qualifications
- Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar and have proven experience drafting patent applications with a specialization in electronics, semi-conductors, circuitry, optics, and lasers.
- Candidates must be registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and if appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state.
- Candidates must have strong time management skills and be able to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments coming from multiple partners and clients.
- Candidates must have strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
