Site Director
The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Early Childhood. The Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of high-quality care for 3–5-year-olds under the site license. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing procedures and guidelines. Providing support to Site Leads and Assistant Teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities. Developing and maintaining ongoing partnerships with MPS administrative staff and educators. Providing administrative support in the Early Childhood Office. Maintaining high personal standards, exceptional employee engagement and customer service while carrying out the mission of Greater Midland are imperatives.
Major Job Responsibilities
Supervision of School Site Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Co-op/Intern, Volunteers
Creating and communicating School Site staff schedules that meet licensing ratio requirements and child needs
Ensure compliance with licensing policies/procedures at all sites
Support and hold staff accountable for compliance with licensing regulations
Working a minimum of 5 school site session per week; 7:00am-9:00am or 3:00pm-6:00pm
Build and maintain healthy and supportive relationships among staff, parents/guardians and children
Acquiring 24+ training hours annually
Ensure safe, clean and organized site environment
Complete office support duties accurately and in timely manner
Ensure the daily implementation of age/developmentally appropriate lesson plans at all sites
Consistent communication with MPS administrators and educators
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a child-related field
2+ years of experience working in childcare or youth programming setting, with one-year minimum experience supervising 2+ staff
CPR/First Aid certified
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Bending, twisting and reaching required
Ability to continuously engage at child’s level
